And then there was Covid
I'm on a rollercoaster of emotions. One minute up, the next I'm down. I'm still focusing on the things I can control. I've consciously lightened up my social media presence and I'm limiting my time scrolling on my phone. I've stepped away from the news on TV (which had me completely wigged out and filled with grief). I'm walking the dogs a lot while listening to uplifting Podcasts and I downloaded a workout app that I'm using pretty consistently (let's face it - we can probably all social distance from the fridge for a bit!)
I also decided to get back to work. My business is online so my commute is short. I am waiting just like others to see what Covid has in store. Hopefully the shutdown won't last long.
One more thing.... written by a woman named Kitty O'Meara. I thought it was worth sharing. And the people stayed HOME. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced, some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways, the earth began to heal. And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal this earth fully, as they had been HEALED.
It is my heartfelt wish that you and your loved ones are safe, healthy and hunkered down, self isolating/working from home to keep this nasty virus at bay. If you are one of the ones out there working (essentially), please know you have my deepest appreciation and gratitude.
If you can, read more, worry less. Let go of expectations and dream new dreams! This too shall pass.
